Plastic and fiberglass tanks run the same capacities at a tenth of the weight, which matters on lots where a crane truck cannot reach. Concrete still dominates local installs because it shrugs off Blackland clay’s shrink-swell cycles.
Aerobic treatment units are rated in gallons per day of treatment, not storage: 500 GPD is the workhorse for homes up to about 4 bedrooms, 600–750 GPD for larger homes. The visible lids on an aerobic system usually cover a trash tank, the aeration chamber, and a pump tank in sequence. If your aerobic system struggles at your household size, the fix is often usage patterns or a component fault, not the unit size.
